Following on from the success of Specsavers’s sponsorship of Scottish Television’s one-minute documentary series 2014, a new sponsorship deal was struck.
This time Specsavers sponsored the prime time shows on STV.
We were briefed to produce two 10-second ‘bumpers’ with a Scottish feel.
So we came up with these two eyesight gags based at a Highland Games:
It was directed by Guy Paterson, who oversaw the previous STV spots, filmed on the shores of Loch Lomond.
And for added authenticity, we used actual Highland Games competitors and dancers instead of actors.

We naturally supported the sponsorship deal online, where we ran profiles on the stars of the adverts.
